Quinces

Updated: Mar 22

Fruit of the Gods

“The fruit that blushes when cooked” (turns purple or red)

Quinces are an ancient fruit with a unique flavour that are rich in nutrients and contain potent antioxidants. Quinces have a very high concentration of Vitamin C, and also a good source of zinc, iron, copper, potassium and fibre. Very fragrant fruit that is regaining popularity like the once forgotten rhubarb.

Not just for jelly, pastes and preserves; Quinces are delicious roasted, slow cooked, baked, stewed or poached! So many choices, try a new recipe with some of our Quinces.
